She woke up in the morning with the sun rising in the sky. Put the princess on her lap and helped her to stand on her naked feet on the rug. Played hide and seek on the way to the bath when the sun was hidden by the walls. Princess turned on the lights, and she was alive again, neither with bones nor blood. Bent from the ceiling to push the princess’s head into the tub while forcing the hands onto her face. Repeated the same back and forth till the princess was fully refreshed. I helped her put the nice clothes on to make her ready for the walk. When they were out, she played with the music of silence around the princess. Sometimes she was at full speed like a rat, and sometimes she was as slow as a turtle. When the princess saluted the prince, she simultaneously saluted the bodyguard behind him as well. Both waved their hands to the old ladies across the sidewalk. They were both happy and joyful during the whole sunny day, singing in silence with the rhythm of full synchronicity.
Seconds pushed the minutes, minutes pushed the hours, and the sun was finally set on the horizon. Darkness was the only thing that made her hide leaving the princess alone. When everyone would think that the princess was alone, just a candle would be enough to show how deeply the princess was backed by her. Hiding from the dark was not because of fear nor because of tears. She disappeared when the princess went to bed just to turn the noise off and get ready for the next day. Although not in the scene, she was still the shadow bodyguard, so shy and so humble. She sings all night long, without speaking out loud, the same song, starting with “I will always love you...”
